Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pupil Wellbeing Worker to provide essential support to primary and secondary pupils (transition from primary only). You’ll play a vital role in helping children navigate:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Bereavement and loss
- Social, emotional and behavioural needs
- LGBT+ support
- Personal safety
- Additional support needs (ASN) transition from P7 to S1

Location: Attached to Peterhead (flexible working across the Cluster required).

Requirements
Work Pattern: Tuesday 8.00 - 4.00, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8.00 - 3.30
This includes a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak.
This role is to lead the learning of pupils with Complex and Profound Additional Support Needs as part of a very experienced team.
Fixed term for a period not exceeding 31/01/2027

Responsibilities
This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
