Job Description

We are seeking Relief Catering Assistants to support the operation of our seasonal Splash Café at Stonehaven Open Air Pool, open from the end of May until September.
7 days a week - opening times are 10.00 - 17.00
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner
Processing cash and card payments
Preparing hot drinks and assisting with basic food preparation
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the café
Supporting general café operations as required
 
This can be a fast-paced working environment, particularly during periods of good weather. Previous experience in a catering or customer service role is desirable; however, full training will be provided.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £13.52 per hour.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
