Job Description

Relief Harbour Duty Officer cover for Nightshift weekdays on a split shift basis 00:00 to 08:00 & 17:00 to 00:00 or Weekends 00:00 to 12:00 or 12:00 to 00:00 operations for Aberdeenshire Councils Statutory Harbour Authority Northern Harbours.

Harbour and vessels out with normal working hours and assisting with activities to help the efficient and effective running of the harbour This post will require working irregular and unsocial hours, which may include weekends.

Macduff harbour is a commercial fishing port on the Moray Firth cost of Scotland. The harbour offers many facilities to mariners such as fish landing services, catch refrigeration, slipway and ship repairs to name a few.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation

Requirements

It is a material condition of employment for this post that the employee holds a current full driving licence and has a car available, whenever required, in order to undertake the full range of duties of the post.

The employee will also be required to produced their licence, on request, at periodic intervals. Should the employee's driving licence be withdrawn, for whatever reason, it may be necessary to terminate the employee's appointment.

This post has a minimum requirement of 1 reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
