Reports to: Senior Roads Engineer
Role Overview: As a Road Inspector, your primary responsibility is to conduct thorough road inspections and assess road-related issues. Your role is critical in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our road network, contributing to the well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspections: You will be responsible for performing comprehensive road inspections, meticulously assessing road conditions, and analysing road-related issues. Based on your assessments, you will provide information for the maintenance team to be able to carry out road repairs to high safety standards. Additionally, you'll conduct inspections related to the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) to ensure compliance and safety standards.
Communication: Effective communication skills are essential as you'll address complaints and inquiries from various stakeholders, maintaining strong relations with internal and external contacts.
Collaboration: Working with utilities and other entities seeking road network access is crucial, where you'll facilitate coordination and minimize disruptions.
What We Need From You:
- HAUC Supervisor Certificate: We’re committed to helping you excel. If not already held, we’ll support you in obtaining a HAUC Supervisor Certificate.
- Current and clean driving license: Required for driving Aberdeenshire Council vehicles.
