Skilled Waste Operative

Job Description

To collect and dispose of recyclable and residual waste as presented by the property owners of Aberdeenshire, in accordance with Council policies and procedures.

Work Pattern is Monday- Thursday 07:00 to 16:45, loading refuse and recycling lorries must be able to work outdoors in all weathers and be able to walk up to 15 miles a day collecting up to 1400 bins per day and working public holidays, other duties to include delivering bins, working with street cleansing crews, picking up of dead animals from roadside.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
