Job Description
Working within the Aberdeenshire Adult Protection Network, this was designed to develop the skill mix within the team and to ensure that Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership continue to fulfil statutory duties pertaining to the Adult Support &Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. The post holder will work alongside the Adult Protection Senior Practitioners, Team Manager and wider multi-agency teams to; identify potential Adults at Risk of Harm, provide advice and guidance to a range of enquirers, conduct initial inquiries into potential harm, identify risk and undertake some statutory functions.
The Adult Protection Network covers the whole of Aberdeenshire, as such, some travel is expected.
Applicants must have a good understanding of relevant laws (including Adults with Incapacity and Mental Health legislation), experience of working with vulnerable people, and at least one year of post-qualification experience.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
