Job Description

Day Services support adults aged 16 and over with learning disabilities to engage in meaningful and enriching activities. We provide person-centred support tailored to individuals with a range of needs including those with profound multiple learning disabilities and those with complex care needs.

There is an 18 hour and a 36.25 hour Support Assistant post available.

Our team has the knowledge and understanding necessary to deliver high-quality support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing. We are committed to each person reaching their full potential, while encouraging active participation in their local community and fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging.

You will:

  • Support people with a range of needs, including complex and

  • Help deliver fun, structured day activities tailored to individual

  • Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing
  • Support with personal care where required

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.

Qualification of SVQ Level 2 in Social Services & Healthcare is required (or willingness to work towards in required timeframe).

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.
