Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to fill two full time permanent Support Worker posts within our busy Justice Social Work Team across Central and South Aberdeenshire. One post will be based in Inverurie and will cover the Central Aberdeenshire area, and the second post will be based in Stonehaven and will cover the South Aberdeenshire area.
The posts will involve working with adult Justice Social Work service-users from the age of 16 and up, and will involve supporting service-users in all aspects of managing their day to day challenges, offering encouragement and motivation at all times to make positive choices and decisions in their lives. The successful candidates will be involved in working with individuals at all stages of their journey through Justice Social Work such as those offered Diversion from Prosecution or Bail Supervision through to those on Statutory Court Orders or periods on Parole or Non-Parole Licence in the community. The Support Workers also have an active role in offering Voluntary Throughcare Support to those leaving prison without any statutory measures in place. Additionally, they will work closely with the wider fieldwork team of Social Workers, CPo Support Officers, and the Unpaid Work Team where support is put in place for service-users who require additional 1:1 support to complete any given period of Unpaid Work hours from the Court.
Both posts are full time and permanent, and will require the successful candidates to hold full UK driving licences, and have access to their own vehicles as the Central/South Team covers an extensive geographical area. We are a busy but motivated team who work closely together to promote the best outcomes for our service-users, and we look forward to welcoming new people into these posts.
