Job Description
Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to make a difference in a vital public service?
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Waste Procurement Officer to lead procurement and contract management activities that support Aberdeenshire Council's waste collection, recycling and disposal services. The role involves managing contracts, monitoring supplier performance, analysing operational and financial data, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and best value principles.
This is a primarily home-based role, offering flexible working arrangements, with your contractual base at Inverurie. The role will involve occasional travel throughout Aberdeenshire and engagement with contractors and partners across Scotland.
You will have experience in procurement and contract management, strong communication and analytical skills, and knowledge of waste services or a related operational environment.
