Job Description

Live Life Aberdeenshire is committed to helping people move more, feel better and live life well. As we expand our preventative health programmes and respond to the needs of our communities, we are seeking a proactive and motivated Health & Wellbeing Officer to join our team.

About the role

As a Health & Wellbeing Officer, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering our health and wellbeing offer. This role includes both operational delivery and people management responsibilities. You will:

  • 14px;">Lead, coordinate and manage the delivery of health and wellbeing programmes, including the referral pathway, condition-specific sessions and targeted community interventions such as health walks and SeaFit.
  • Line manage, support and motivate Health & Wellbeing Instructors and Coordinators ensuring high-quality, inclusive and person-centred delivery.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and ongoing development opportunities for staff to ensure consistency, confidence and safe practice.
  • Oversee quality assurance, risk management and compliance within programme areas.
  • Use data, insight and participant feedback to shape service design, track performance and demonstrate impact.
  • Build strong partnerships with HSCP, NHS, Public Health and third-sector organisations to ensure a joined-up, preventative approach.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who brings a blend of operational expertise and strong management capability. You will be:

  • An effective people manager—able to inspire, support and develop staff, manage performance and communicate expectations clearly.
  • Experienced in coordinating teams, delivering programmes and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with partners, colleagues and community groups.
  • Confident using data to monitor outcomes, report progress and inform decision-making.
  • Passionate about prevention, health improvement and enabling people to live longer, healthier and more connected lives.
  • Organised, adaptable and solution-focused, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
