Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Leadership Team of Live Life Aberdeenshire, managing the Venues & Assets within Live Life Aberdeenshire’s portfolio.  You will lead a place-based approach to our estate modernisation. 

You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in facilities to ensure they are fit for purpose to meet the expectations of current and future service users.

Reporting to the Head of Service and working very closely with the Service Manager: Customer Development and Service Manager: Programme Development, the post holder will demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement, management and analysis skills, producing precise, concise updates and recommendations.  

Responsibilities of the post holder will include: 

  • Overseeing the operational function and security of LLA venues & assets, which currently includes:

*13 Public swimming pools
*Stonehaven Open Air Pool
*30 plus public libraries
*3 Museums
*Macduff Marine Aquarium
*2 ski centres and an outdoor & residential centre

  • Leading the co-ordination of demand and supply of facilities for delivery of LLA Services
  • Co-ordination of improvements in Health & Safety, Business Continuity and Emergency Planning
  • Leading procurement relating to LLA venues & assets 
  • Leading on the development and delivery of our ambitious Capital Plan.
  • Leading the Venues & Assets Operations Team
  • Initiation and development of partnerships between Live Life Aberdeenshire and internal and external bodies.
  • Contributing to the budget setting process for LLA and manage budgets ensuring value-for-money and effective utilisation of staff and financial resources.

Requirements
