Job Description
Based at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar with an Angus wide remit, your main duties will involve working within the Unpaid Work, Diversion from Prosecution, Bail Supervision and Structured Deferred Sentence programmes. You will also be required to provide support to clients of Justice Services with a variety of needs in different settings including office, home, court, and prisons. You will be expected to co-deliver groupwork programmes and provide support to Justice staff. You will regularly attend Court and attend prisons to support service users, as required. You will be involved in the broader social work duties relating to Court Orders and Parole Licences, in line with adult and child protection policies and procedures and liaising with other agencies when required.
We are looking for a highly experienced practitioner, preferably with previous experience in a social work or similar setting. A good team worker, you must have good oral and written communication skills, the ability to maintain accurate and up to date records, use your initiative and be self-motivated. You must have an interest in working with people who have an offending history, the ability to identify needs and plan support packages, taking a trauma informed and person-centred approach. Experience of multi-agency working is essential, and you must be reliable and have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to work some evenings if required.
A full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
