Job Description

Based at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar, DD8 3LG.

This job is workstyle 1 - Fixed

In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.

You will be responsible for the delivery of community meals to supported people living in their own homes across Angus. You will work on a rota basis, weekend off/weekend on over 7 days.

  • Load ovens with frozen meals, take temperature checks, load hot meals into hot box for transportation in van. You will also be responsible for vehicle cleaning and checks, carrying out routine maintenance on vehicle (charging and fluid levels).
  • Responsible for transport of goods, equipment and personnel. Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles using, where necessary, mechanical aids. Follow strict health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Comply with all data protection law in the processing of personal, and special categories of personal data, in line with the Council's full privacy statement and service privacy notices.
