The Network and Security Team within the Angus Council Digital Enablement and IT Service performs a critical role in the support and implementation of the Angus Digital Strategy and the day to day operational function of a wide range of IT systems.

The role of IT Service Officer – Security is to join a well-established team to enhance its IT network and cyber security support capability. The applicant will be expected to have an understanding of configuring and supporting devices and peripherals in a networked Microsoft environment and be able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of current cyber security issues faced by corporate organisations.

You will be expected to be self-motivated, awareness of current and future technology developments, especially in both in the IT networking and cyber security areas, would be a definite advantage.

A track record in contributing to continuous improvement is essential as is working with and being a part of cross functional teams.

This job is temporary until no later than 28 July 2028.
