The Social Work Admin Service delivers administrative support to the Justice Social Work team within the Argyll and Bute HSCP. We have a full time, permanent admin support worker vacancy within our Justice admin team which is ideally suited to someone with good organisational, IT and admin skills. This position will be office based and negotiable within West Argyll.

This position will, as part of the Justice admin team, provide high quality admin support to the Justice Social Work team who deliver agreed outcomes for people who are within the criminal justice system whether they be in the community or in custody.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Processing and recording of court and prison requests
  • Office reception
  • Monitoring team Email mailbox enquiries
  • Processing invoices and orders
  • Updating electronic service user records

Candidates for this role require to have:

  • A good basic education
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft office applications
  • Experience of office administration
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data security
  • An internal system check undertaken in order to access Social Work databases. A PVG check may also be required where there is regular contact with people.
