An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Information Worker to join the Integrated Community Assessment Team (ICAT) within Helensburgh and Lomond.
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with strong communication and IT skills to support the effective coordination and flow of information across our multidisciplinary team.

The Information Worker plays a key role in delivering a Duty Assessment, Information and Advice Service within the integrated Community Assessment Team (iCAT). Acting as the first point of contact for members of the public, hospital wards, the postholder will provide timely information and guidance on services across Argyll & Bute. This role is central to ensuring that individuals are directed to the appropriate support at the earliest opportunity, ensuring safe and timely discharge from hospital.
Working closely with members of the iCAT team, other community teams, and team leaders the Information Worker will support the effective delivery of the Duty Service. By gathering and recording information, undertaking initial assessments, and maintaining accurate records on relevant systems. The post-holder will contribute to efficient team working, continuous service improvement, and high-quality service delivery, helping to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
We are looking for a motivated individual with SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and strong IT and communication skills. Who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The post requires flexibility, and PVG membership (or willingness to join).
Experience in Social Work, Health, Housing or Welfare Benefits, working with the public, and knowledge of local services and welfare benefits would be desirable.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, confident handling sensitive information, and committed to delivering high-quality, efficient service.
