Argyll & Bute HSCP specialist dementia services have undergone an exciting period of redesign. We have moved to a community based model of care with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, crisis prevention and response through robust post diagnostic support.
The service will comprise of three nurse led locality based teams working together to form a transformational and innovative new service. The localities being served by this new service are Bute and Cowal (population 20,244), Oban, Lorn and Islands (population 19,894), and Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Islay (population 19,911).
An opportunity has arisen for a social worker to join the service covering the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Islay area. You will have the opportunity to be part of shaping this new service in order to meet the needs of our remote and rural population. You will work alongside medical, nursing, occupational therapy and Alzheimer Scotland colleagues to deliver a quality service to those living with dementia and their carers in Argyll & Bute.
