Bilingual Support Assistant (Arabic) - fixed term until 28/06/2024
Additional Support for Learning Service
Salary: £22,185 - £24,590 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 18 per week, 39 weeks sessional
As a Bilingual Support Assistant you will work within the English as an Additional Language team of the Additional Support for Learning Service in Edinburgh schools. You will work under the guidance of teachers to support bilingual children's learning in the classroom and to support communication with parents.
You will be fluent in English and Arabic. Fluency in Kurdish (Kurmanji and/or Sorani) is desirable.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
