A new opportunity has arisen within the Strategic Asset Improvement Team for a Capital Works Manager. Reporting to the Senior Capital Works Manager, the postholder will support the delivery of improvements to key Council buildings including schools.
A key aspect of the job is to liaise with service areas and delivery teams to scope and commission suitability and improvement works to enhance health and safety and meet wider service requirements. The postholder will support the delivery of best value to ensure available budgets are optimised and expectations are managed. The postholder will also contribute to strategies including the improvement of the Council's property estate through the Council's Asset Management Works Programme and the delivery of net zero strategies.
The postholder will ideally hold a degree in a property related discipline and have significant experience in developing and delivering planned asset management works.
This post is based at Waverley Court but currently operating under a hybrid working style between home and the office.
