Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: 17.50 per week

We at Parsons Green Primary currently have a vacancy for a 0.5 FTE teaching post (maternity cover).

Desirable Attributes of the successful candidate –

Experience of Mid to Upper School teaching.
Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.

Develop the school curriculum. Assess, record and report on the work of pupils, working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals with promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils.

The Successful candidate will:

  1. Be an experienced classroom practitioner with a range of teaching experiences.
  2. Have played a demonstrable role in whole school improvement.
  3. Have experience of active teamwork and playing a supportive role in the development of colleagues.

4 Have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
