Job Description

Customer Service Assistants
Usher Hall Bars

Salary: £24,346 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: Casual/relief – Various hours

We are looking for confident, friendly and customer service focused individuals who are committed and driven to providing the highest quality customer service to join our 5-star performance venue, the Usher Hall.

Usher Hall is a busy concert venue, with a full and varied programme from now until the end of the year and beyond. You will be working as part of a team and assisting in the efficient running of the scheduled concerts, private events and functions. You will be working predominantly as a bars assistant, however you will be required to work in a variety of different positions if necessary, including but not limited to bar work and selling points, stewarding, controlling entry in the venues and monitoring audiences.

This is a casual position with no guaranteed or set hours, The majority of events take place in the evenings and weekends. Interested candidates do not necessarily need to have previous experience in a customer setting to apply, but you must be able to demonstrate a can do attitude and be a team player.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.
