Develop and expand the City Operations Centre CCTV
We are looking for a Development Officer to join the City Operations Service. The Council is seeking to further develop and expand the City Operations Centre to centralise core CCTV functions across the Council, and utilising data to influence long term Council strategies and day to day operations.
This role would suit a project management professional who is enthusiastic and driven to utilise technology and build partnerships to maximise the realised benefits of the City Operations Centre and wants to see their work influence real-world decisions.
In the public sector, the right data and technology can transform how we support our community. Your job will be to lead on the identification and delivery of improvement projects to further establish the City Operations Centre as the eyes and ears of the City.
Your primary focus is on the technology and data analytics and you will work closely with Council services and external partners to support a culture where data drives strategic action.
You will drive a number of improvement projects and research suitable solutions to achieve the vision of the City Operations Centre.
Your Responsibilities:
- Project leadership: Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects involving a wide range of stakeholders to hit key milestones and deliverables.
- Analytical skills: Commercially and financially astute, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, targeted communications in a variety of formats and spot trends and anomalies that others might miss. Utilising data to deliver evidence-based strategies and solutions.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Highly collaborative approach, with experience of working effectively with a wide range of service areas and external partners to deliver outcomes.
- Process and workflow design: Skills in business process mapping, including documenting, designing, and optimising workflows.
Working With Us:
This role offers a platform to use your technical skills for the public good. You'll have the opportunity to shape our data approach and work on meaningful projects that have a direct impact on our service delivery.
We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued and able to be their best.
