Early Years Officer
Granton Early Years Centre

Salary: £34,452 - £40,501
Hours: 36 per week

Granton Early Years is a large, busy setting, with capacity for 64 children at any one time, attending various patterns of attendance between 8am and 6pm, 52 weeks per year. We work in partnership with our families to promote children's learning and development; helping to close the attainment gap and ensure equity for all. As we continue to develop our service, our setting is a very natural environment with outdoor spaces that back onto the local Community Garden, with the Community Centre situated next door. We encourage our team to strive for high standards with support and development opportunities available at all levels.

The service is now seeking to recruit a skilled, knowledgeable and creative Early Years Officer on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be required to work shift patterns within the setting, between the hours of 07.45hrs and 18.00hrs, Monday-Friday, with some late shifts on rotation, within each month.

Please note - You must ensure that you have the required qualification(s) before you apply, so please refer the attached documentation for requirements, or we will be unable to consider your application. If you are unsure of your qualifications or for further information about the post, please contact Granton Early Years on 0131 552 4808.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued and able to be their best.
