Broughton Primary School Nursery

Salary: £30,188 - £34,452
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year

Working week: Monday to Friday
Shifts: varying between the hours of 7.45am and 6.10pm (available on request)

The applicant must be eligible for registration (without conditions) with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children, in possession of a practice qualification as noted in the attached job profile.

This role requires working shift patterns, therefore please only apply if you can undertake these within the days and hours specified above.

Broughton Nursery offers Early Learning and Childcare to children aged 3-5 years.
At Broughton we are committed to providing an excellent early years' experience, based on mutual respect, partnership, participation and fun. We are looking to recruit a full-time, passionate and driven Early Years Practitioner to join our existing nursery team. This position will eventually be based within the new purpose-built centre which will be in the vicinity of the school and is due to open in the future with a capacity for up to 120 children.

The successful applicant must demonstrate experience in forming good relationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community. Through the recruitment process, they will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, commitment, initiative, optimism and flexibility to their work.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
