This is an exciting opportunity for teachers with experience in and a passion for Early Years. In this role you will be part of an established Early Years Pedagogy Team managed centrally and working directly with children across a range of settings.

The role of the early years teacher is to effect positive change to practice within a team through supporting others to grow in confidence and support leadership opportunities for all team members.

The early years teacher team are there to enhance practice by supporting a team ethos and provide opportunities for others to develop.

To do this effectively they will need to manage change sensitively, support, mentor and coach teams and in partnership with Central SLT and Setting SLT, set realistic objectives to improve practice and experiences for children in the setting.

As part of their Curriculum Development role they will support the development and delivery of Career Long Professional Learning and participate in Working Groups.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
