The postholder will be responsible for coordinating all activity around the publishing, implementation, and updating of the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and associated Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy Delivery Plan for Edinburgh. The LHEES is a long-term strategy for decarbonising heat and improving energy efficiency in buildings in Edinburgh. The postholder will play a central role in publishing the inaugural strategy and supporting Delivery Plan; updating it, initiating and delivering projects to effect delivery. The postholder will also support the Council with regards to other energy/low carbon-related projects, in particular taking forward the development of heat networks in Edinburgh.
