An opportunity has arisen to fulfil the vacant post of Fraud Officer.

This post is subject to a basic disclosure check. 

Working as part of a team, the post holder will be a point of escalation for significantly complex transactions from the team ensuring that legislative, statutory or financial regulations are adhered to and that transactional activities are completed to a high standard

The postholder will be responsible for all activity relating to deterring, preventing, detecting and investigating cases of fraud and overpayment in accordance with relevant legislation and Council policy.

Excellent communication skills and previous experience investigating allegations of fraud are essential, and you should be able to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and have proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and that of others.

The successful candidate must have sound knowledge and skills using relevant technology and equipment. And will have a commitment to delivering a high quality of service.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
