Have you got practical experience in supporting and enhancing core IT systems to ensure they meet the needs of the people who use them to deliver key services to customers? Do you have an eye for detail and a proven track record in ICT service and project delivery?
Are you customer-focussed, willing to go the extra mile, and flexible in your approach to work? If this sounds like you, then the City of Edinburgh Council has an exciting opportunity within our Digital Services Team.
Working as part of the team which supports and enhances the systems used by the Council's Transactions teams, you will have responsibility for reviewing practices relating to, ensuring quality control within, and delivery of the weekly programme of processing tasks in line with operational needs. The successful candidate will provide assurance that the team is delivering high-performing, well-managed services to its customer base.
Day-to-day workload will be focussed on systems used within the Council's Revenue and Assessment services, such as NEC iWorld and Citizen Access customer portal, Civica D360 document management system and Corvette document processing. The role will also play a key role in managing the Operations Support workload, as well as planning and coordinating annual and weekly schedules of work.
The successful applicant will be expected to draw on a range of existing skills and experience and to develop these further. You will have an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the ICT environment within the Council in general and in the Customer area in particular.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience of one or more of the core systems detailed above and /or experience in delivering ICT work and projects. An understanding of business processes in one or more of the Revenue and Assessment areas is also desirable.
You will have good communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have the ability to manage multiple tasks whilst being creative and innovative in providing solutions to digital challenges. You should be flexible, proactive and customer driven.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
