Income Maximisation and Advice Officer - fixed term until 31/03/2027

Salary: £34,452 - £40,501 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 21.6 per week, 52 weeks

The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team, including social workers, support workers, health and housing professionals. Providing services to Care Leavers, as defined by The Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. Specifically this post is to offer advice and help to young people claiming benefits and to help maximise their Income. The successful applicant will liaise with a number of appropriate agencies but particularly with The DWP. The post is based in CEC City Chambers Complex in the High Street although work will also take part in the community.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
