Waverley Court
Salary: £56,392 - £67,457
Hours: 36 per week
The Council is looking to recruit a dynamic, client focused, personable and technically strong Portfolio Planner within the Strategic Asset Partnership Team to support the continuous requirement to drive out efficiencies in the operational property estate to meet the ongoing demand for property savings and at the same time make the estate fit for purpose to deliver the Council's Business Plan objectives.
The Corporate Property Strategy contributes to all three of the Business Plan objectives to end poverty, create good places to live and work and achieve net zero.
You will be working on a wide and complex variety of projects including education and enabling co-location of services and partners with the consideration of safeguarding, early intervention, and the community in a holistic manner. Inclusive design considerations such as accessibility, wellbeing and sustainability are paramount to demonstrate an integrated service property solution. The Portfolio Planner will ensure property requirements are delivered and aligned to various ongoing projects.
Covering the Council's operational property estate, this will include educational buildings, libraries, depots, offices, care facilities and other public facilities across the City of Edinburgh.
We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued and able to be their best. We particularly encourage applications from women for senior roles, as well as people from minority ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities or neurodivergent people, care experienced people, carers and LGBT+ people across all levels of the organisation, all of whom are currently underrepresented. All applicants will be considered fairly based on skills and experience. Disabled and care-experienced applicants who meet the minimum job criteria will be guaranteed an interview.
