Salary: £55,155
Hours: 35 per week

Wardie Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic Principal Teacher who will be committed to supporting raising attainment and improving the outcomes for our learners.

At Wardie Primary School, we aim for all learners to be nurtured and championed to be the best they can be, reaching their potential through high standards in a respectful, caring and nurturing environment. The Principal Teacher needs to be committed to supporting all learners and their families and must be confident in supporting staff to achieve our shared vision.

The successful candidate should have experience in leading initiatives across the school community and be skilled in both leading and supporting colleagues to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment. As well as leading Wardie Primary’s Learning, Teaching and Assessment Framework, this role will also involve a full time class commitment in Primary 5 until June 2025.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
