Project Officer
Waverley Court

Salary: £29,173 - £33,287
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Service Improvement team as a Project Officer.

The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting Project Managers in the delivery and ongoing management of large-scale IT projects, design/delivery of training and management/maintenance of training guides and other project documents. The role will involve working closely with different areas of the Housing and Homelessness service and colleagues at all levels.

In addition to having excellent analytical and organisational skills, a positive attitude and an interest in training, the ideal candidate must be able to use their own initiative, be confident delivering training to large groups, be innovative in their approach and be able to use strong communication skills when dealing with colleagues, tenants and external stakeholders.

If you are someone who enjoys new opportunities, has contributed to large scale projects, understands the importance of improving services within the Housing and Homelessness service and have skills demonstrating our behaviours - respect, integrity and flexibility as well as experience of being able to deal with changing demands, we would love to hear from you.

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss the post further, please get in touch with nicola.rutherford@edinburgh.gov.uk .

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we're bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours - The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Happy to talk flexible working.
