Dalry Primary School is a diverse and multicultural primary school & nursery in the city centre of Edinburgh, a short 5 or so min walk from Haymarket Station.
We are looking for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our enthusiastic and committed team, and to be part of our very positive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a member of the school team assisting in meeting the educational, care and welfare needs of all pupils ensuring those with additional support needs can effectively access the curriculum and be supported on a one to one basis when appropriate . The post holder will be required to support pupils in the classroom and throughout the school learning environment through organised activities, providing support, assistance and encouragement to help each individual child achieve the best learning outcomes possible.
Experience of working as a Pupil Support Assistant, and specifically supporting 1:1 children with additional support needs is beneficial.
The working hours for this post are Mon-Thurs 0900-1500 (30min break), Fri 0900-1230 (no break).
Interviews will take place on the morning 16th and 17th June.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
