Residential Care Officer
Heathervale
Salary: £30,751 - £36,312
Hours: 36 per week
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can support young people who live at Heathervale by working in a trauma informed way to ensure we offer the best possible care and support. You will work as a part of dynamic team, with young people to assist them to form personal attachments, develop resilience and ensure they receive as much support as possible to achieve their full potential . Please note that shift work and weekend work are part of your contractual hours.
Experience required;
- Qualification held must fully meet the SSSC requirement for Unconditional Registration. The sole exception to this is for candidates who have achieved the necessary practice qualification (e.g. HNC in Social services) and have only the optional SVQIII modules to be completed to be awarded the SVQIII Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7.
- Applicants must be eligible and prepared to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Residential Child Care Worker
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
