We are seeking two skilled, motivated and enthusiastic School Support Assistants.
Post 1 - Will be based primarily at the Darroch Annexe, located approximately 0.6 miles from the Warrender Park Road campus. The annexe primarily supports the Gaelic medium learner community, and the post holder will contribute to the work of the community team by providing administrative support as well as front‑line, customer‑facing services. Although based at Darroch, the post holder will work with support from the main school administrative team.
Post 2 - Will be based at our main campus and will provide support to our Design & Technology and Health & Wellbeing faculties. This role includes supporting the Art department with preparing materials and ordering resources.
The successful candidates will have experience of working in a busy office environment and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. They must be highly self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and confident in taking initiative to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills are essential, supported by relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills are also required to ensure the smooth running of our school office and associated services.
The successful candidates will be expected to manage and operate various computerised systems and should have sound knowledge and experience in this area. A working knowledge of SEEMIS and other school‑based systems would be an advantage, as would the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Candidates will also be expected to provide basic first aid and administer medication as appropriate. A suitable qualification in first aid, or a willingness to undertake any necessary training, is essential.
While you will require a full PVG disclosure, this role is part of the supporting staff team and does not involve working directly with young people.
