We are recruiting for a highly skilled Senior Information Analysts to join our Data, Performance and Business Planning team on a fixed two year basis. Working at the very heart of the Council, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact as you support the development of high-quality data analytics and performance information necessary to drive service improvement and make key business decisions.
You will provide data analytics support for a range of service areas including routine, ad hoc and deep dive analytics and performance reporting . The Council uses a range of of tools including Business Objects, SQL , Excel and Power BI.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we are expanding our data, analytical and intelligence capabilities through the implementation of Microsoft Fabric including Power Bi. Working closely with the Data, Performance and Business Planning Manager, the team and key stakeholders across the Council you will support the development and implementation of Power BI and to providing expertise in data modelling, analytics and visualisation. A key outcome of the project will be to develop a data driven culture in the Council where information is valued, actionable and used to make effective business decisions and service improvements.
With an undergraduate degree or equivalent data analytics and statistical experience, you will have a proven background of modelling, analysing, visualising and presenting complex data to enable evidence-based decisions. You will have the skills and experience to undertake complex data analysis and visualisation and to support the wider implementation of Enterprise Power BI in the Council. Whilst having prior experience of Power BI is an advantage it is not essential and training will be provided.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
