Place

Senior Performance and Improvement Officer
Waverley Court

Salary: £37,626 - £44,257
Hours: 36 per week

We are recruiting for two highly skilled Senior Performance and Improvement Officers to join our Process and Systems Improvement team enhancing the effective delivery of our high-profile, complex, frontline operational services. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact as you support the development of high-quality data analytics and performance information necessary to drive service improvement and make key business decisions that ultimately improves the services provided to citizens and visitors of Edinburgh.

This is an exciting time to join this team as we build a wider Operational Support, Performance and Improvement Service supporting Operational Services (which includes Neighbourhood Environmental Services; Roads and Infrastructure Services; Network Management and Enforcement Services; and Facilities Management).

Working closely with the Process and Systems Improvement Operations Manager, the team, key stakeholders across Operational Services and the Council, you will support and deliver continuous improvement activities; and through data and root cause analysis and process reviews, investigate what is driving the way we work and how this can be improved. A key outcome of the team will be to develop a data driven culture in the department where information is valued, actionable and used to make effective business decisions and service improvements.

You will have the skills and experience to effectively interpret, analyse and present a range of complex information and delivering data-driven improvements in an agile approach and business process reengineering, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours – The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
