A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Team Leader - Asset and Performance within the Roads and Infrastructure team, based normally at Waverley Court in Edinburgh, but currently working between home and the office.

The role will include a varied mix of operational and strategic aspects, reflecting the outcomes in the Council's Transport Asset Management Plan.

  • Prioritisation and production of capital carriageway and footway renewal schemes, in-line with approved procedures.
  • Production and monitoring of Transport Asset Management Plan for the Place Management Service.
  • Ensure services are effectively delivered to specification; to budget and within timescale, taking personal responsibility for the development of sustainable team plans, service delivery and development to ensure the service provides best value. Ensure that agreed standards, policies and procedures are met and that all operations comply with statutory responsibilities, national legislation, standing orders, delegated authority, Council policies, aims and objectives.

The post will be responsible for the Transport Asset Management Plan and as such will have 3 technical staff reporting directly to them. Reports will be based both in the office and on site.

The post will be responsible for a wide range of employee matters including health and safety, recruitment and selection, absence management, disciplinary, grievance procedures, training, employee development.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
