Service Manager Planning - Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership
Waverley Court

Salary: £80,569 - £96,423
Hours: 36 per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) as the service manager for planning. This is a newly established role within our Strategic Planning directorate, reporting to the Head of Strategic Change.

As service manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of planning officers and corporate strategic planning leads. You will play a key role in planning the delivery of a wide range of services provided by the EHSCP, both internally and those we commission through partners in the independent and third sector. Your leadership will contribute to the successful delivery of our Strategic Plan and ensure that health and social care services are high-quality, value-for-money and deliver good outcomes for the citizens of Edinburgh.

You should have significant experience of strategic planning, with experience in public sector and a knowledge of health and social care desirable. You will have experience of using data to inform service redesign and change proposals. You will have the ability to form and manage strong stakeholder relationships and will be a clear communicator, with experience of developing change proposals in a complex environment.

This is an integrated role, which means the successful candidate can choose between employment with the City of Edinburgh Council or NHS Lothian.

We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued and able to be their best. We particularly encourage applications from women for senior roles, as well as people from minority ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities or neurodivergent people, care experienced people, carers and LGBT+ people across all levels of the organisation, all of whom are currently underrepresented. All applicants will be considered fairly based on skills and experience. Disabled and care-experienced applicants who meet the minimum job criteria will be guaranteed an interview.

As part of our goal to improve organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure we're recruiting the best people. We're interested not only in your skills and experience but also in your approach to work. Therefore, part of our interview process will be an assessment of how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours - The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
