Lunchtime Playground Supervisor
Preston Street Primary School

Hours: 8 per week, 38 weeks sessional
Salary: £26,205 -£26,525 (pro rata for part time and sessional)

Mon - Thurs 11.45am - 1.45pm

Preston Street Primary School is looking for two people to join our friendly team on a part time basis, Monday to Thursday 11.45am - 1.45pm. To provide supervision to children during non-teaching times, namely when in the playground and/or in the dining room.

Duties will include: Supervision of the pupils in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises. Ancillary associated duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean etc.) To ensure the maintenance of good order and discipline.

Our successful candidates will have an understanding the needs of children and be able to respond appropriately.

The would need to be able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents and have an awareness of Health and Safety regulations

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
