Salary: £26,205 - £26,525 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 7.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday midday to 1:30pm (with no break) and Friday 10:30am to midday (with no break)

Corstorphine Primary School is looking for two kind and empathetic Supervisory Assistants to join our talented Pupil Support Team.

The successful candidates will supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground areas (in all seasons) and school premises. They will ensure the maintenance of good order and discipline. They will undertake ancillary associated duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean etc.). On Friday's, the successful candidates will count and pack pupil packed lunches into large/heavy delivery bags, and then deliver them to each of twenty one classes on both the ground and first floors. Trolleys are provided to support the delivery of lunches but physical movement and lifting of heavy bags will be involved.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
