Teacher of Gaelic - Fixed term until 26/5/2028
James Gillespie's High School

Salary: £35,022 - £52,740
Hours: 35 per week

James Gillespie's High School is seeking to recruit a highly-skilled and enthusiastic Teacher of Gaelic to join our growing Gàidhlig faculty.

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and motivated learning community, who place young people at the heart of everything we do. As the only provider of secondary Gaelic Medium Education (GME) in Scotland's capital city, we are committed to the expansion of high-quality Gaelic learning and value the significant responsibility we have to nurture and help cultivate the Gaelic language as an integral part of our shared heritage and identity.

The successful applicant will have a particular interest in supporting the needs of young people in GME, including those requiring additional support for learning. They will also contribute to our well-established transition programme with our associated feeder primary, Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce.

Fluency, both written and spoken, in the Gaelic language is essential.
