An exciting opportunity is available within the dynamic Network Management and Enforcement Team at the City of Edinburgh Council.
As the Transport Manager responsible for Citywide Road Coordination you will lead a team delivering a safe, well managed and free flowing road network in Scotland's capital city.
You will be responsible for the effective and efficient management, review and coordination of all Road Works, Road Occupation Permits, Events, and Public Utility Performance across the city, ensuring the safe passage of transport with the minimum of delays and disruption to residents, businesses and the travelling public across Edinburgh.
You will lead on the coordination of all works and events on the network and manage teams ensuring contractors, the Council and Public Utilities register works correctly, apply for the correct permits, use correct traffic management, prioritise public safety and reinstate works to appropriate standards.
