Job Description
As a member of the Finance and Revenues Service, the Team Leader (Accountancy) provides professional leadership and management for the Council’s Accountancy function.
The post holder contributes to the strategic and operational leadership of the Council, ensuring effective financial stewardship, sound governance, statutory compliance and provision of high-quality financial advice.
The post holder will support the delivery of the Council’s objectives through effective financial performance monitoring, budget management, financial planning, treasury management, statutory accounting and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
The role is expected to operate as a key member of the Council’s extended management team and to build strong relationships with elected members, senior officers and external stakeholders.
