Job Description

The successful candidate will join the PropertyTeam, whose key functions include:


Delivery of Council priorities as set in the Corporate Plan & Business Plan

The delivery, development and direction of services within the remit to provide a seamless high quality response to deliver projects efficiently and effectively

Creating and sustaining effective partnerships with other agencies.

Contributing to the corporate development of the Council.

Managing client and Contractor Relationships

Leading on Projects from Inception to post evaluation


The post holder will initially be tasked with supporting the Learning Estate Programme Manager  in all aspects of successful delivery of learning estate capital programme circa £120m taking forward  project works from consultation stage through to construction to being fully operational.


Cross service working will be required to facilitate delivery of aspects of the Learning Estate Programme alongside the Wellbeing Hub programme. The post holder will be expected to  co-produce creative, cost effective property capital programme solutions to deliver defined council objectives to sustain and improve asset management performance recognising service delivery impacts, capital and life cycle financial implications.


The post holder will also be able to foster and encourage a culture of high quality customer service, corporate working, continuous improvement and innovation.


Ideally the successful candidate will have a background in Project management quantity or building surveying. Other relevant disciplines will be considered.


Whilst experience is important, applicants should be able to demonstrate a "can-do" attitude, and be willing to "go the extra mile" for internal and external customers.
