Job Description
FIXED TERM FOR 2 YEARS
Principal Purpose and Objectives
The Strategic Lead is a highly influential role where you will be expected to build strong
and effective relationships both externally and internally and work with a number of key
stakeholders to deliver specific priorities and outcomes set out within the Council’s agreed Be The Future Transformation Plan.
Driving transformational change you will be responsible for a number of functional areas delivering these to the required standard and at an appropriate level.
Whilst you will be responsible for a number of specific projects, you will also be required to use the relationships and learning obtained from this work to make recommendations for the redesign of service delivery models to ensure the sustainable delivery of public services in Clackmannanshire for the future.
Key council approved priority projects that the post holder will deliver include:-
• The development of specific community and place-based asset management
approaches;
• The development of sustainable models of transport; working with communities,
partners and other key stakeholders; and
• Developing options for Place and broader corporate redesign.
This is a key role, working collaboratively with the Council’s Senior Management Team and you will be expected to gain and maintain the credibility and trust of colleagues as well as being able to challenge appropriately.
You must be able to work well with Elected Members, maintaining positive and effective
relationships whilst inspiring trust and personal credibility.
Senior Managers are expected to be creative, inspiring and empowering.
