£30,369 - £33,186 per annum, inclusive of £2,859 Distant Islands Allowance
Two Cleansing Drivers are sought who will be responsible for, and drive, allocated vehicles (HGV or Non HGV) which may require specialist driving skills. You will ensure that all driving duties, including reversing and turning manoeuvres, are carried out in a safe manner using vehicle assistance and in accordance with current best practice and be responsible for ensuring best operational relationships between the service and members of the public.
You must hold a current LGV Driving Licence and a current Driver CPC. You will be required to have a basic knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety at Work. You should also have an understanding of diesel engines, vehicle hydraulics and advancement in vehicles and technology.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
