37 hours per week, term time, Permanent Post
£25,325 - £25,574 per annum, inclusive of £2,589 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

The post holder will be required to provide clerical, classroom and general support to the school under the direction of the Headteacher and undertake pupil welfare and pupil supervision duties under the direction of the Headteacher.  This post will require providing School Assistant cover to schools within the Uist area as required.

You will undertake general office duties and provide support and assistance to school offices over Teams when Lionacleit Education Centre based and assist with invoice and order processing during peak periods as directed by the Senior Resources Officer in conjunction with Executive Head Teachers.

You will have proven experience in a busy office environment and experience of working with young children. You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and knowledge of Excel, along with the ability to word process letters, memos, documents and reports and the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets. You will have excellent communicative skills with children and adults and excellent skills in oral communication, numeracy and writing.

A full current UK Driving Licence is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).

The salary quoted is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
