Mechanic, Marybank Depot (2229)
37 hours per week, permanent post
£36,430 – 39,362 per annum ( inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance )

As a Mechanic, you will engage in all aspects of mechanical repair, maintenance and associated works of the Comhairle’s Garage Services.

You must have the ability to undertake all aspects of vehicle service, maintenance, repairs and MOT preparations for heavy vehicles and plant.

You must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence or equivalent along with previous experience of working with a wide variety of vehicles.

You will be required to participate as part of a scheduled standby rota for out of hours breakdown attendance.

This post requires a current, full UK driving licence.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
