37 hours per week, Permanent Position
£45,126 to £48,849 per annum (inclusive of £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)

This post covers the core duties in Justice Social Work Services including the preparation of reports to the Court and the supervision of offenders on statutory orders. You should have a genuine interest in working with offenders. The postholder will contribute to the wider Social Work services to support business continuity as required.  This post can be based out of the Comhairle offices in Stornoway or Balivanich.

You will be a good team worker, committed to working productively and effectively with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations. Travel throughout the Western Isles will be a requirement of the post. Mainland travel may be needed on occasion.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with Children and Adults.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
